According to CNN, Iran is preparing a rocket attack on Israel. High-ranking officials from the U.S. White House stated that the U.S. is in active preparation to protect Israel from an Iranian attack.

"We are actively supporting Israel's defensive preparations against this attack. A direct military attack by Iran on Israel will have severe consequences for Iran," reads the White House statement.

The US anticipates that the forthcoming attack from Iran against Israel could be similar in scope and scale to the one in April. “The U.S. is ready to do whatever it can to assist Israel in repelling any Iranian attack, as it did in April,” a U.S. official told CNN.

Israel assesses that Iran is likely to attack three Israeli air bases and an intelligence base located just north of Tel Aviv. CNN reports, based on an Israeli source, Israeli military has put contingency plans at Gilot Intelligence base.
The U.S. warned Israel that an attack is likely to occur within the next 12 hours. The Israeli military said that they have not yet identified any specific aerial threat from Iran.

At this moment, Israel does not recognize any imminent threat from Iran," stated Daniel Hagari, spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces. In a brief video address, he mentioned that Israeli military aircraft are actively "scanning the sky" for potential threats from Iran.

Hagari further emphasized, "We are on high alert, both offensively and defensively," cautioning Iran that any aggression towards Israel would "carry consequences."

Following a year marked by escalating tensions between Israel and Iranian proxies in the region, a looming attack from Iran could potentially escalate the situation into a full-scale conflict. U.S. and Arab diplomats are already expressing concern about the aftermath of Iran's anticipated strike, particularly regarding the magnitude of Israel's retaliation. A significant worry is that Israel might leverage an impending Iranian attack to justify strikes within Iran itself.
