At the congress of "Georgian Dream," Irakli Kobakhidze was elected as the candidate for the Prime Minister of Georgia, and Irakli Gharibashvili was elected as the chairman of the party.

The Prime Minister candidate started his speech by thanking Bidzina Ivanishvili and noted that "the main role in the successes achieved in recent years goes to the founder of the party."

"The honorary chairman of the party, Bidzina Ivanishvili, is an example of how to serve one's country. In the past years, each member of the team has invested his share of effort in the progress of our country, but today Georgia has democracy, peace, economic progress, and the country has received the EU membership candidate status primarily due to Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili and special thanks to the founder of the party for this. I would like to thank Mr. Irakli Gharibashvili for his three-year, highly successful tenure as Prime Minister, which brought unprecedented success to our country. I thank the general secretary, Kakha Kaladze, and each member, all delegates of the congress."

According to Prime Minister candidate Irakli Kobakhidze, "today, the team has the highest confidence since 2012, so it is certain that the Georgian Dream party will win the elections with a large advantage."

"The extremely important parliamentary elections are ahead of us, which we are facing with the backdrop of strong support from the people. Our political team has not enjoyed such high levels of public trust since 2012. I am confident that we will win the parliamentary elections by a wide margin, which will provide the foundation for further progress and development of the country. The Georgian Dream, with its practical title, expresses two main missions. Firstly, it envisions a physically and spiritually unified Georgia. This is a Georgia that includes Abkhazia and Samachablo, along with the Abkhazians and Ossetians, and a Georgia where goodness triumphs over evil and love conquers hatred among Georgians. Secondly, it aims for a Georgia with a European standard of people's well-being, where not a single person lives in poverty," - said the candidate for Prime Minister of Georgia at the party congress.
