A group representing the Georgian Dream Party, led by its head Irakli Kobakhidze, is currently on a visit to the People’s Republic of China from January 14 to 20. During the visit, the GD delegation engaged in discussions with Liu Jianchao, who heads the International Department of the Chinese Communist Party, as well as his deputy and the leadership of the State Council’s Research Center. Kobakhidze expressed that the previous year marked a significant milestone in the development of China-Georgia relations, with the signing of the Strategic Partnership Agreement. He emphasized that the purpose of the delegation's visit is to ensure the effective implementation of this agreement. Kobakhidze also highlighted the potential for further deepening relations between the two countries, particularly in the realms of politics and economics, with the aim of yielding tangible and substantial outcomes.

"Last year was historic in terms of the development of relations between China and Georgia. A strategic partnership agreement was signed, and our goal is to ensure the proper implementation of this cooperation agreement, and our visit serves this purpose. There are many areas where relations can be improved. It is important to go beyond the political and economic aspects, and this should have concrete, tangible results. I attach great importance to the development of relations between Georgia and China," said Irakli Kobakhidze, chairman of the ruling party of Georgia, "Georgian Dream," to the media.
