Georgia's President, Salome Zurabishvili, did not sign the anti-LGBT law package passed by Parliament. However, Zurabishvili did not use her veto power.

According to the law, if the president does not sign the law, the chairman of Parliament will sign it. After being signed, the law will come into effect.

On September 17, Parliament adopted a legislative package restricting LGBT rights, titled 'On Family Values and the Protection of Minors.' During the plenary session, the bill was supported by 84 deputies in its third reading, with no one voting against it."
