“Georgian Dream" founder Bidzina Ivanishvili responds regarding "Credit Suisse" to the statement from the Embassy of the US in Georgia.
"First of all, it should be noted that the Embassy cannot identify any statement made by me personally or by any other leader of Georgian Dream in which we accuse the USA or the European Union of financial blackmail. When we spoke about bank account theft and financial blackmail, we always specified that this blackmail was not perpetrated by the USA or the EU, but by the forces we refer to as the global war party. We did not accuse the USA or the EU of financial blackmail even when Credit Suisse used the resolution adopted by the European Parliament as another excuse for not transferring the funds," the statement said.
In the published statement, Bidzina Ivanishvili also notes, "I have clarified more than once that by the global war party, I do not mean either the USA or the European Union; however, I have also specified that the global war party has a significant influence on politicians and bureaucrats both in the USA and the EU."
Bidzina Ivanishvili further explains why he refuses to meet with American politicians. "This is the main reason why, until the financial blackmail ends, I refuse to meet with American politicians and bureaucrats, because the likelihood of influence from the global war party concerning each of them is very high. We have explained our position to our American colleagues in writing, and if the Embassy invites us, we are ready to publicly discuss the contents of that letter. Additionally, my lawyers have repeatedly disclosed detailed information to the public about the financial restrictions imposed on me since the start of the war in Ukraine, and if necessary, I am prepared to release updated information regarding this matter through my lawyers.
I would also like to remind you that the topic of oligarchic influence, informal governance, the 'deep state,' and the war party in the USA has not been raised by us, and this issue appears to be one of the main lines of the current presidential campaign in America," Bidzina Ivanishvili stated, continuing his discussion on internal politics in the US.
"Presidential candidate Donald Trump, along with primary candidates Robert Kennedy Jr. and Vivek Ramaswamy, are actively discussing this topic. It is the global war party that is attempting to shield the USA and the European Union while acting against Georgia’s national interests, portraying events as if Georgia is in conflict not with them, but with the USA and the EU," the statement reads. Context:The Embassy of the United States of America in Georgia responded to the case related to the Credit Suisse of "Georgian Dream" founder Bidzina Ivanishvili. The US Embassy in Georgia responded to the accusations from Bidzina Ivanishvili and other representatives of "Georgian Dream" that the United States is withholding Ivanishvili's money: "Bidzina Ivanishvili knows that the money related to Credit Suisse is in the hands of the courts in Bermuda and Singapore, not in the hands of America," the embassy statement said.
