The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has reacted to the election banners published by "Georgian Dream," stating that it is unacceptable to use images depicting the consequences of Russia's merciless war against Ukraine in political advertising.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine condemns and considers inadmissible the use of the results of Russia's ruthless war against Ukraine in political advertising, including the suffering of thousands of innocent people and the destruction of blood, churches, and cultural heritage. The Georgian people should not fear a new war as long as Ukraine resists Russian aggression. The price of resistance is also the price of peace in Georgia. We call on the government of Georgia, the ruling "Georgian Dream" party, and all interested parties to refrain from using the topic of aggressive war against Georgia in the internal political struggle and to support sovereignty and territorial integrity within internationally recognized borders. We hope that the parliamentary elections in Georgia will be held peacefully and democratically, allowing the Georgian people to continue their strategic course toward joining the European Union and NATO," stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
New election banners from "Georgian Dream" have appeared on the streets across Georgia, where the ruling party calls on voters to choose between peace and war. One side of the banners features a gray background with images of Ukrainian cities, churches, hospitals, and theaters destroyed by Russian attacks, while the other side displays colorful images of various cities and buildings in Georgia. At the same time, a video with similar content was published. The inscription on the banners reads: "No to war! Choose peace!"
