The executive secretary of "Georgian Dream" and leader of the parliamentary majority, Mamuka Mdinaradze, states that the ruling party is trying to "prevent" interference from other countries, as there are "a lot of agents" in a small country like Georgia.
"Everyone may want to interfere in the elections—Russia and others—everyone has their own interests. In a small and vulnerable country like ours, where many agents are financed by rubles and dollars, it is essential for a national and independent government to prevent these interferences, whether they come from Russia or elsewhere. We are preventing interference from all sides; that's why we are proud of what we have done. No matter how much they label us as Russian, we are willing to sacrifice the interests of our own children for the sake of others," - Mamuka Mdinaradze said.
