Roman Gotsiridze, a member of the Parliament of Georgia, writes that the ruling party has suddenly presented a bill, which "gives Bidzina Ivanishvili the right to bring money hidden offshore to Georgia without paying taxes and bypassing norms against money laundering". 

"At this moment, unexpectedly, Georgian Dream introduced a draft law to the parliament, according to which Bidzina Ivanishvili is allowed to import his property hidden offshore in Georgia without paying taxes and bypassing norms against money laundering. The law applies only to him as a natural person. He must own 100 percent of the offshore assets. Now it has become clear why he bought 7 tons of gold for storage in Georgia. He is not even going to turn the country into a personal fortress. He doesn't know the Georgian people," - MP Roman Gotsiridze wrote.
