Nika Melia and Nika Gvaramia have formed a political union called "Akhali," which will participate in the 2024 parliamentary elections with the election number 4. According to Nika Gvaramia, the aim of the union is to fight "for changes in Georgia in new ways."
"Our party is "Akhali." We are united and fighting for change in Georgia in innovative ways. We are committed to change because we understand the struggle, the cost of inaction, and the value of serving the motherland. We know how to overcome challenges and respond to adversity. We are determined to bring about change, and we are equipped to govern successfully and lead the country towards European integration. This is our decision, our mission, our goal, and we will undoubtedly achieve it together," - said Nika Gvaramia. According to his statement, "the color of the party is green, symbolizing a new beginning."
"Our color is also orange, representing not only the fox but also symbolizing indomitable energy, progress, and hope. We believe these are our core values. With white symbolizing purity, innocence, and happiness, we believe we will move forward. These are our symbols, our forward arrow, a symbol of swift progress in a stagnant country where only the past is discussed. I believe this is the primary and most significant endeavor. We will only move forward, not look back, and achieve success not only for ourselves but for our country. It is our decision to commence together, to start a new, to initiate with aspirations for greater unity. I am a strong proponent of large collaborations. I am prepared to sacrifice anything for victory, but our initiative alone cannot suffice. We are not urging anyone to join us. we are extending invitations to join us. Primarily, we must overcome our individual ambitions, self-approval throughout this entire process, and only through unity will we be able to overcome Bidzina Ivanishvili's regime and propel Georgia forward—towards the future. The past is behind us. we focus solely on the future and our achievements," stated Nika Gvaramia.
According to Nika Melia, "unity will defeat nihilism and bring the seed of victory into every family."
"It has been a challenging journey, and those who were involved in this process will attest to that. This process spanned three months, where we questioned whether we would be a unified electoral entity, whether we would function as one cohesive team, or not?! Our decisions were primarily guided by the interests of two teams and by the concerns of tens of thousands of active voters. It is no coincidence that we emphasize discussions about the future because the future is what our country, our children, and the older generation representatives need today. This doesn't mean we should neglect other topics, but I aim to focus more on engaging conversations that align with the people's interests and move beyond that. While faith in victory may be lacking today, not only among voters and individuals but also among those actively engaged in the political opposition movement, I am confident that unity will lead to the defeat of nihilism and plant the seed of victory in every family, city, and township. This is what our future requires, and thus, the future lies within our grasp. We are the architects of our own destiny," stated Nika Melia.
