Sandro Baramidze, former First Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia and ex-lawyer of Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder of "Georgian Dream", noted in an interview with Globalnews.ge that Bidzina Ivanishvili's main task is to "maintain power and ." He also raised questions about the foreign orientation of the founder of "Georgian Dream."

"It's true, fortunately, we obtained the candidate status, but a year ago, we didn't know if we would definitely be able to achieve it. On the contrary, instead of the government fulfilling the conditions, you remember the so-called agents law that was introduced for consideration. I have a question for them: Why are you taking steps that could jeopardize the process of obtaining candidate status? In the end, they couldn't derail it, but why would you want to take such a risk? It's the same in America - don't say it anymore. American law applies to countries hostile to it and its friends, and you antagonize our friends and call them agents, while those who are truly agents of the occupying country and its satellites, you call their allies? When, through your prime minister and the leadership of the parliament, you denounce the politicians and officials of our friendly countries with unkind words, what is this called and in what scheme does it fit? Explain to me, and I might change my mind," said lawyer Sandro Baramidze.

He also assessed the pre-election environment in Georgia and believes that the ruling power is preparing to falsify the elections.

"There is constant aggression, and this is no longer a free election environment. In the current situation, this country will not develop, especially because the highest officials of the country communicate with their fellow citizens using such rhetoric. This is a complete nightmare. Regarding the election environment, it is unequal among the ruling party and other parties. Intimidation, blackmail, deception, bribery - everything will be used for the elections because "Georgian Dream" does not want to give up power. I don't know if all this is being done to preserve the government. Appealing to the constitutional majority, Bidzina Ivanishvili announces that "I will falsify so many votes, I will get 60%." Unfortunately, I don't know what task the other opposition parties have, or where they are heading. It should be noted that "Georgian Dream" has set a serious trap in the legislation. While the electoral barrier is 5%, the funding barrier is 1%, which means approximately 20,000 electoral votes. 20 thousand votes mean financing the party with 300 thousand GEL. If the party receives 2%, it is already 600,000 GEL, which is good enough money for any "boutique" party to stay afloat and for one or two leaders to share their wisdom from the screens. Perhaps these small parties prefer to remain separate. If they were to expand and unite, the majority of this funding would primarily go to the individual on whose behalf they are contesting the elections. Furthermore, in addition to the abolition of electoral blocs, "Georgian Dream" has also "taken care" of this. Therefore, the main task of the opposition parties and all those individuals with political aspirations should be to ensure that at least two or three parties from the opposition front surpass the electoral threshold," - said Sandro Baramidze, the former First Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia, in an interview with Globalnews.ge.
