Irakli Kobakhidze confirmed the information about David Zalkaliani's resignation from the position of Ambassador to the United States during a briefing held at the Government Chancellery.

According to him, the former ambassador was already "under pressure from various sides."

"David Zalkaliani resigned from his position; I had a conversation with him. Everyone has different willpower, and in this case too, I want to express my solidarity with David Zalkaliani, who faced significant pressure from various sides, excluding the pressure from the UNM. I can only express my solidarity with him. It is unfortunate that he resigned from his position; it was his choice, and I respect it," said Irakli Kobakhidze.

Despite our numerous attempts, David Zalkaliani has so far refused to comment to the media.
